Broken toys 28

Before the TV show, Ricky and Lucy had a movie about going across the country with an absolutely gigantic trailer. Before the Interstate highway system was completed.... I never saw the whole thing, but I recall twice seeing a very harrowing scene where they are crossing the Rockies and the thing barely fits on the curves and switchbacks, with unprotected dropoffs to chasms hundreds of feet below. They are creeping along, first fighting up the mountain with the load, and then trying to avoid being pushed off the road as they descend. At the end, Ricky is ready to kill her when he discovers that she has loaded up the trailer with tons of these pretty rocks she found.

Yeah, I was never a fan either.
